February 2022 security patch rolling out for Huawei Y5 2019 smartphone
A veteran cheap device – Huawei Y5 2019 has started receiving a new firmware update that brings it February 2022 security. Therefore, the corresponding consumers are suggested to upgrade over the latest update as soon as it appears in the firmware section.
According to the changelog, February 2022 security for the Huawei Y5 2019 phone comes with EMUI version 9.1.0.446 and an update package size of 1.53 GB. On the flip side, you should know that this rollout is currently airing with limited availability and will soon expand to more consumers in different markets.
Furthermore, you will have the option to download this software via OTA update through the following methods –
Open the My Huawei app, tap on service then tap on the Updates button. From here you can tap on the CHECK FOR UPDATES button and then follow the on-screen instructions.
Alternatively, the phone would allow you to download the latest software via Settings > System & updates and then hit the Software updates sections. From tapping on the blue CHECK FOR UPDATES button, afterward, the phone will check for available firmware updates and load it on your phone
However, you can check for some precautions before heading towards the software updates section. We suggest you take a backup of important data, thereafter make sure you have enough internal storage to keep this downloaded OTA package.
