After network gear, US wants to stop Huawei CLOUD

Following strict restrictions on Huawei network gear, the US Commerce Department has now moved attention towards other businesses of Huawei technologies including the most important HUAWEI CLOUD.

According to the inputs coming from Reuters, U.S. Commerce Department Secretary Gina Raimondo said that Huawei CLOUD and similar Chinese cloud companies could pose a threat to US security. As she is now ready to review export control laws and amend them accordingly.

Gina gave the following statement after a group of 9 Republic senators petitioned the Biden administration to also impose a ban on Huawei Cloud as well as other Chinese cloud source companies.

However, Gina praised herself by adding the fact that she has added 200+ Chinese companies to the entity list.

We are actively, constantly investigating additional threats and if and as we think companies need to go onto the list, I will not hesitate,” she said.

For your information, this review letter is proposed by Senator Bill Hagerty. He said that Chinese cloud computing companies “are increasingly engaging with foreign entities”. He specially mentioned that In some cases sanctioned foreign entities that are directly challenging the national security and economic security interests of the United States and our allies and partners.

All of these high-ranking US officials are talking and agreeing on one term security risk. However, there is no proof of such happenings found in the past and Huawei also denied any related allegations. With this new step, the US is once again urging partners to stop using Huawei services and products.

This is the severity of this matter because Huawei is already in Entity List since 2019. The US continue to attack the Chinese tech maker but didn’t get the desired result.

Although Huawei has received a major blow in business revenue but the company keeps on doing its best to come out of these challenging circumstances.
