Android 15 could ease zoom in capability via two-finger double-tap gesture
Google seems to be renovating the accessibility features with the Android 15 and might introduce a “two-finger double-tap” gesture to easily zoom in on the screen. The OEM is likely to improve the screen magnification feature with the upcoming software.
Before we proceed, let’s learn some details about screen magnification!
Screen magnification has been a part of the accessibility group since Android 12. From the name, it enlarges the text and other graphics on your phone’s screen.
Smartphone users can easily access this feature through the on-screen tab, volume keys, and three-tap gestures. While Android offers several ways to launch the screen magnification, often these methods make your device slow or laggy for some time.
Although things could change with the Android 15 two-finger double-tap gesture. This may appear as the fourth option to initiate the useful screen magnification on your handset. It might also come as one of the best options in this subject.
Just like its name says, users would be able to quickly double-tap on the device’s screen using two fingers. Thus, the screen interface zooms in for better visibility.
To access the features, users need to visit:
- Settings app
- Select the Accessibility option
- Click on the Magnification option
The good news is that this feature won’t impact the device’s performance or make it laggy in your operations. This functionality doesn’t appear with the Android 15 Beta 1.2 version but we may find it with the upcoming software builds.
