Android 15 could offer Windows-style sticky keys for physical keyboards
Google seemingly plans to use a significant Windows feature for Android 15 – sticky keys. This new addition is likely to resolve the Windows problem related to the sticky key pop-up notification that appears every time you hit the SHIFT key 5 times.
Sticky Keys lets you use the SHIFT, CTRL, and ALT, or Windows Logo keys by pressing one key at a time. Thus, you don’t need to hold it continuously while operating tasks. Just press the CTRL key and then ‘S’ to save the file rather than holding the former and then looking for the latter key.
The feature is already present in computer products. However, it seems Google might implement the effective Windows-style sticky keys to the Android 15 operating system. Clues on this matter already emerged in the Android 14 QPR3 Beta 2.
As per the details, the company may introduce sticky and bounce keys in the upcoming Android version. The former will eliminate the constant holding of keys in the device. It is beneficial for those who don’t often use such tabs on the keyboard.

Meanwhile, the latter (bounce keys) will automatically tell the system to ignore keys that users press several times due to rapid succession. These accessibility features are showing up in the latest Android 14 QPR beta, yet they are likely to go live with Android 15 in the time ahead.
To check the newly added services, users can visit the Settings app and then tap on the System section. Click on the Keyboard option and select the Physical Keyboard tab.
