First Batch: Huawei HarmonyOS 2.0 beta smartphone devices [List]
Last December, Huawei started to test HarmonyOS 2.0 internal developer beta testing for smartphone devices. The first round of beta included the top-notch flagship devices including:
- Huawei P40 Series
- Huawei Mate 30 Series
- Huawei MatePad Pro Series
Following the recruitment, Huawei began sending a new OTA update for the selected developers. The first round of developer beta testing ran for up to 3 months and in April, the Chinese tech giant opened the HarmonyOS 2.0 developer beta for public testers. These devices are:
- Huawei Mate 40 series
- Huawei Mate X2
- Huawei Smart Screen S Series and more.
However, the list doesn’t end here. In May, Huawei launched the second phase of HarmonyOS 2.0 developer open beta testing that adopted Nova series devices – Huawei Nova 6, Nova 7, Nova 8, and MatePad 10.8.
Huawei announced to launch HarmonyOS for smartphones on June 2 at the launch conference and at the same time it’s expected that the company will also open the general consumer version of the beta testing for HarmonyOS 2.0.
Which Huawei devices will take part in the first round of general beta testing? We now have an answer to this question. Below you can check all of the devices that will be able to participate in the general beta testing of HarmonyOS 2.0.
For your information, the test will be opened for new closed beta testers, public beta testers, and users that could directly upgrade to the stable version on the same day of launching and provide user feedback on the stable version as well.

Early adopters of the Public beta:

These are on the first round of HarmonyOS devices and Huawei will bring more devices for the HarmonyOS beta testing as soon as HarmonyOS software becomes mature to enter on global devices.
Note: These devices and the beta recruitment details are currently limited to the Chinese models but we can expect HarmonyOS to reach global users as soon as possible.
