HarmonyOS NEXT app count exceeds 10000: Huawei
Huawei revealed that the HarmonyOS NEXT app count surpassed the 10000 mark. More than 10000 applications based on HarmonyOS NEXT have been launched in the past months. These apps consist of smarter and more efficient features than before.
The tech giant revealed this achievement during the Huawei Connect 2024 event. Huawei Mobile Cloud President – Zhu Yonggang announced that the HarmonyOS NEXT app count exceeds 10000. The figure includes both apps and meta-services.
Input reveals the company has covered 18 vertical domains to develop native apps. As a result, HarmonyOS NEXT apps can meet 99.9% of consumers’ usage time needs. This has further led to the speedy growth of the HarmonyOS ecosystem.
Users can easily rely on these applications for their daily life operations. HarmonyOS native apps claim to deliver high-quality renderings, faster transitions, more fluent task completion, easy-to-use features, and a comprehensive experience.
The President said the company adapted 470+ SDKs to HarmonyOS NEXT. This ultimately lessens the app development workload by 90%. Also, the new OS provides a full-link development tool which results in innovative and more productive apps.
With HarmonyOS NEXT, Huawei aims to completely abandon Android use for its devices and consumers. The company has removed all Android codes from its new operating system. It is now a full-stack self-developed OS that originated in China.
Over time, Huawei also collaborated with many partners to build thousands of HarmonyOS apps. These partners come from Education, Medicine, Office, Industrial, Gaming, Entertainment, and many other fields. Zhu says both developers and partners helped in framing an innovative HarmonyOS ecosystem for users.
HarmonyOS NEXT app count is growing unexpectedly. The company had expected a mark of 5000 native app development at the outset of this year. Although the figure is already double before the stable HarmonyOS NEXT launch. We may see more new achievements in the subject in the upcoming days.
