Honor Magic 3 is not the upcoming Huawei Mate 50: Honor CEO

On 12th August, Honor conducted the unveiling event of the flagship Honor Magic 3 series. This lineup brings three variants – Honor Magic 3, Magic 3 Pro, and Magic 3 Pro Plus with new technologies and different color schemes.

The camera specifications are the most eye-catching aesthetics. These models come with a ring camera arrangement to house the lens corresponding to the variant. The higher version you’ll choose, the more camera specs you’ll get.

Honor Magic 3 isn’t inspired by Huawei Mate 50:

Honor CEO, Zhao Ming welcomed the media partners to satisfy their queries post-launch event. During the conversation, he stated that Honor Magic 3 isn’t inspired by Huawei Mate 50 nor it has something to do with Huawei while asking- is Magic 3 and Huawei Mate 50.

On the 17th November 2020, Honor and Huawei became two different firms, that have different businesses to do in the same industry. But, both companies have business relations are on good terms.

Since it’s going to be complete a year after we both separated, Zhao Ming really doesn’t know about the existence or the concept for the Huawei Mate 50. To be mentioned, the Huawei Mate 50 hasn’t launched yet. However, it’s placed in the company’s flagship models that are scheduled to debut in the second half but may delay further.

Coming back to the Honor devices, Zhao further added that we are working to raise the image of the Honor device and come out from the shadow of the Huawei or Mate series. After drafting the design about ten times, this new design for the Honor Magic 3 series has been finalization to present the core capabilities in architecture design, photography, and AI technology of Honor.

In our perspective, it reflects only one design – Huawei Mate 40 RS Porsche Design and it’s true.

Honor Magic 3 Camera Design:

Although the outer camera design is the same in all three models, the lens capabilities are different in each. We can define them as follows-

Honor Magic 3: It adopts an average ring camera module to house a triple camera system, whose capabilities includes

Honor Magic 3 Pro: It features a bigger version than Magic 3 and has a quad-camera module. The lens consists of-

• 64MP Telephoto Camera with f/3.5
• LED flash placed below in ring

Honor Magic 3 Pro Plus: This variant has the biggest camera system with advanced sensors. The specification includes-

• 64MP Monochrome Camera with f/1.8
• 13MP Ultra Wide Camera with f/2.2
• 64MP Telephoto Camera with f/3.5
• LED flash below in ring
• Multi-Spectrum Color Temperature sensor
