Huawei and Visionox to reportedly collab on next-gen foldable display
Chinese flexible display maker, Visionox has reportedly reached an agreement with Huawei to become the foldable display supplier for the development of the next-gen Huawei foldable phone.
Under this agreement, Huawei and Visionox will work together on the technological breakthrough and research and development of the net gen foldable display phones and supply them to Huawei.
According to a previous report, Huawei will purchase foldable screens from South Korea’s Samsung for the Huawei Mate X2. The panel production of this phone will start in September 2020 and the display size is 8.03-inch with 2480 x 2220 resolution.
Sources suggest that Huawei Mate X2 will come with an in-ward folding display and the may also feature a cover display to interact while the device is folded. On the other hand, the first-gen Huawei Mate X and Xs come features an outfold display design.
Huawei Mate X2 will also have something called the laptop mode. It may split the screen (main), allowing users to write on the top and use the keyboard on the bottom.
Currently, Huawei has not announced any official dates of Huawei Mate X2.
