Huawei bags first position in Chinese tablet market with 90% annual growth
New report from market tracker – Canalys shows that Huawei has secured the first position in the Chinese tablet market in Q3 2023 with an annual growth of 90%. Besides, the overall tablet sales in the region have accelerated by 16% YoY.
According to the inputs, Huawei has ranked first in the Chinese tablet market in the third quarter of 2023. The company has the highest tablet shipments value among the top Chinese brands in the country. It has also surpassed Apple with a significant market share rate.
It is worth mentioning that Huawei and Apple were dominating the tablet market in the third quarter of this year. However, Apple suddenly fell from 38% of market share to 31% which resulted in a decline of 5% year-on-year.
On the flip side, Huawei scored an increment from 15% to 24% in the third quarter this year which ultimately boosted the annual growth by 90% and helped the tech maker to take the lead in the Chinese tablet market.
Apart from Huawei, other tablet vendors such as Xiaomi, Honor, and Lenovo have also seen an increment and made their space in the top five rankings. Eventually, Xiaomi received a 7% hike in Q3 2023 and secured third position.
Meanwhile, Honor and Lenovo achieved good results despite unfavorable market and shipment conditions. Tablets are a significant part of both work and educational sectors. Perhaps, the overall outcomes in the Canalys report suggest that the Chinese tablet market will continue to grow in 2024.
