Huawei confirms HarmonyOS NEXT upgrade plan: Devices and Rollout Time
Huawei has announced the official HarmonyOS NEXT upgrade plan for its devices alongside the rollout time. The new beta version is currently open for developers and pioneer users with flagship devices. Though it will soon reach other devices.
Yu Chengdong shared the details of the HarmonyOS NEXT upgrade. He cited that the company has initiated the developer beta testing for the top models. The tech maker will gradually cover devices and release stable HarmonyOS NEXT build in Q4 2024.
The Chinese OEM is recruiting developers and 3000 pioneer users at the moment. Hereafter, the company will begin consumer beta starting with premium handsets.

Developers and Pioneer users can sign up for the current beta activity from June 21 to 28. The company will review the submitted applications from June 24 to July 09 and adjust the users depending on the log and nolog builds.
Note that developers whose apps are already present in the AppGallery will be prioritized in this activity. After the selection, Huawei will further notify developers as well as pioneer users via an official email or SMS.
Those participating in the developer beta version should take a backup of their data beforehand to avoid any loss. One can also roll back to the current version by visiting Settings > System > Developer Mode > System Rollback.
