Huawei Eyewear 2 grabs a new update with sound detection improvements

Huawei rolled out a new update for Eyewear 2 which brings improvements to the sound detection feature. The respective device owners will observe more optimized call functioning even when sitting in a quiet or full-of-hustle environment.

According to the changelog, Huawei Eyewear 2 is getting the new software update with HarmonyOS 4.2.0.140 version and a downloadable package of 2.56 Megabytes.

Sound Detection Feature:

Sound Detection feature refers to the ambient sound detection technology. It adjusts the music sound or call’s volume depending on the ambient sound environment. Thus, users can hear their calls clearly without making the audio distract others.

For instance, the feature can identify a quiet place such as a conference room or elevator and decrease the volume to keep the conversation safe from others.

Huawei is now bringing improvements to the Eyewear 2 sound detection tool via a new update. The latest firmware is rolling out gradually and may take some time to cover all the units. However, you can try upgrading it from the AI Life app.

Before proceeding with the update, make sure that your Eyewear 2 has at least 20% battery. Also, keep the device close to your phone till the update is completed.

Huawei has begun the HarmonyOS NEXT beta recruitment for more new models. The company has also opened the testing program for the FreeBuds Pro 3 earbuds.

Apart from smartphones, tablets, and earbuds, Huawei will upgrade the Eyewear 2 to HarmonyOS NEXT in the fourth quarter of this year. It may add new features and enhancements to the smart glasses. To grab the major upgrade, it is better to keep your device up-to-date with the new rollouts.
