Huawei-JAC MAEXTRO electric sedan allegedly spotted in spy images
Huawei and JAC are developing a new MAEXTRO brand and it looks like its first sedan car has already appeared in spy images. Some tipsters have shared pictures of an alleged EV, implying that it could be one of the new cars from JAC Motors.
Looking into the spy images, the alleged Huawei MAEXTRO smart sedan is wrapped in camouflage cover. It appears 5.2 meters long with a flagship layout. Some netizens even compared the new electric sedan to the latest models of the Rolls Royce.
These shots further show a fastback-type outlook at the back and the rear steering wheel support. The latter refers to a mechanism that helps the car to turn up the rear wheel’s angles either in a similar or opposite direction of the front wheels.
Doing so increases a vehicle’s low or high-speed agility as required. Other than that, the pictures don’t reveal much about the MAEXTRO’s first alleged car model.
While launching the STELATO S9, Huawei Consumer Business Group Chairman Yu Chengdong said that the first Maextro brand car will debut in Q1 2025. The product has entered the EV verification stage and begin trial production later this year.
Yu also revealed that the new Maextro brand will compete with the top-end Rolls Royce and Maybach models in the automobile market. It will fall in the ultra-high-end category and may cost millions of yuan. With that, Huawei will also use the most advanced driving solutions for a smarter and safer experience.
