Huawei Kirin 9000s using Hyper-Threading: Test

Huawei Mate 60 series is using Kirin 9000s chipset but has much confusion related to the manufacturing process and its core structure. In the middle of these discussions, a computing performance test reveals that the Kirin 9000s is using Hyper-Threading, which is very tech-advanced for a mobile processor.

While confirming this news, the tester shared a screenshot of the test tool, which shows the CPU control units, accounting for 12 of them. It’s also confirmed that the chip has 8 cores.

Another Chinese blogger confirmed that the Kirin 9000s has hyper-threading supported mid and large cores.

What is hyperthreading:

Hyper-threading technology is a hardware innovation that allows more than one thread to run on each core. More lines mean more work can be done in parallel.

According to Intel, hyper-threading allows one to process more information in less time and run more background tasks without disruption. Under the right circumstances, the technology lets CPU cores effectively do two things at once.

Kirin 9000 5G:

Compared to the Kirin 9000s, the Kirin 9000 5G chip uses 8 cores with 8 threads. Hence, the successor is getting the advantage of 4 additional threads, which empowers better task management.

Secret:

Despite all of these revelations, Huawei has not listed the Kirin 9000s in the Mate 60 series listing on teh official website. Yet, screenshots are circulating online to show the chip information. Furthermore, the processing technology remains confidential as well.

This return of Kirin chipset remains an unsolved mystery but it’s certain that the company has resumed Kirin into action.
