Huawei launches OceanStor Pacific 9920 flash storage in Germany
Huawei recently introduced new OceanStor Pacific 9920 flash scale-out storage and NVMe Palm SSDs in Germany. The NVMe Palm SSDs have up to 30.72TB of capacity.
Both of these products are made for the use of large unstructured data in analytical systems in different industries. Such technologies come in use in trending technologies and applications including the internet, 5G, and AI.
According to a market data report, the unstructured data will account for over 80 percent of the data generated annually by 2030. Meanwhile, its overall storage will be responsible for 30 percent of data center energy consumption.
The new OceanStor Pacific 9920 brings high performance, large-capacity SSDs, and better data reduction algorithms. It provides the bandwidth of a single-performance node up to 20GB/s and the IOPS up to 800,000.
