Huawei Mate X2 may come with 120Hz refresh rate foldable display
Earlier this year, Huawei unveiled its Huawei Mate Xs, the first foldable phone for the global consumers, featuring a tablet side foldable display and 5G connectivity.
Although Huawei is yet to confirm the status of the next foldable phone but CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC), Ross Young revealed that the Huawei Mate X2 will come with 120Hz display.

Recently, Ross mentioned that Huawei Mate 40 series will come with a 90Hz display, inheriting from the Huawei P40 Series.
With the launch of the Huawei P40 series, Huawei introduced the new quad curved overflow display with a higher display refresh rate of 90Hz. Huawei phone’s previously limited to the 60Hz display.
A higher refresh rate allows the display to refresh the screen content more dynamically. The difference for you would be smoother animations compared to a 60Hz panel. Gaming would also be a treat, particularly in high-graphics apps.
Currently, there’s no additional information available regarding the specs or the design of the device but it’s likely to come with an improved foldable display and hinge for stability.
We’ll keep you posted.
