Huawei Mate X6 foldable might equip a super flat screen
Apart from tri-fold, Huawei is also working on the Mate X6 foldable that could bring a super flat screen panel. The latest input states that the company is putting efforts to eliminate various folding screen problems that often spoil the user experience.
Weibo tipster @FixedFocus notes that the Huawei Mate X6 foldable handset will likely use a dynamic flat and straight screen. He adds that the next-generation folding smartphone could be beyond imagination in terms of the display panel being flat.
Flat screens are generally less vulnerable to reflection. It also provides a wider angle for a viewable perspective. These panels are lightweight and quite thin, compared to other display solutions. It is perfect for gamers and users performing heavy tasks.
Huawei Mate X5 uses a foldable flexible OLED (LTPO) panel with a coverage of Kunlun Glass. It seems the company may choose a more flat-screen solution for the Mate X6 folding handset to offer a feather-like and comfortable feel to consumers.
The tipster only mentioned that Mate X6 would be far ahead in terms of screen flatness. Although it doesn’t reveal the exact display tech that will be used for the new foldable. Perhaps we can grab more details on this matter in the forthcoming weeks.
Mate X6 foldable is expected to launch in September this year. The next-gen folding handset will likely bring several new upgrades over its predecessor. A leak implied that the X6 device could adopt a brand-new Kirin 5G chip with improved performance.
Another revelation about this phone is that it could continue to adopt a circular camera bump at the back. However, the Chinese phone maker might alter the lens arrangement as done for the Mate X5, compared to the Mate X3 foldable smartphone.
The device seems to have sufficient units in stock. But whether it will debut in the global market is still a question. Things will get more clear as we inch towards the launch date. Stay tuned.
