Huawei MatePad Air gets first software update
Huawei has released the first update for the latest MatePad Air tablet, which is packed with upgrades for the HarmonyOS 3.1 operating system.
According to the changelog, the first software update for the Huawei MatePad Air comes with HarmonyOS build version 3.1.0.112. Users of this tablet will have to download a package size of 1.03 GB.
It’s revealed that the update will install May 2023 HarmonyOS security patch for improved system safety. Interestingly, the package will also improve system stability for better performance as well as stylus efficiency while jotting down on-screen activity.
Furthermore, Huawei MatePad Air users will experience better performance for third-party apps. This update is released in batches and the company will schedule it for more devices very soon.

Huawei MatePad Air equips Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 octa-core chipset. The large size of the tab allowed Huawei to build a better heat management system and keep it cool.
It has a 3:2 screen with a screen ratio of 87%, which makes it the first of its kind in the Huawei tablet campaign. The display size is 11.5 inches with 2800×1840 resolution (291 PPI pixel density). Meanwhile, it supports up to 144Hz screen refresh rate and HDR Vivid, these combinations provide a mesmerizing visual quality.
