Huawei Nova 7i with EMUI 10.1 receiving July 2021 security update
Hm… it’s time to talk about the July 2021 security update for the Huawei Nova 7i. This phone comes with a quad-camera system, hole-punch display, and a stylish design that catches consumers’ attention.
The changelog reveals that the Huawei Nova 7i July 2021 update comes with fixes for different levels of threats. These include 21 high and 28 medium levels of Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) and provides better software security.
This new Nova 7i update rolling out with EMUI 10.1 software version – 10.1.0.345 and a software package size of 200MB. However, the rollout is currently in progress and may take time to cover all of the Huawei Nova 7i users across the board.

Huawei Nova 7i Software:
Huawei Nova 7i comes with EMUI 10.0 and is upgradable to EMUI 10.1. However, this device has not been upgraded to the EMUI 11. Yet, its Chinese version, Nova 6 SE is upgradable to HarmonyOS operating system.
Still, we haven’t heard any relatable things about the global models at the moment.
Key points for users before Update:
- The device must have a better battery backup to install this update that is a minimum of 50%.
- It’s compulsory to check your storage availability(Internal/External SDcard) to download the latest update as per the size required
- A strong WiFi/mobile data connection is required for a buffer-free download of the package.
How to install this update:
To download this update manually, go to Settings then System & updates, then open Software update, from here select Check for updates. If an update is available it’ll pop up on your phone and an option of Download and install will appear. Press the option and start to download.
Alternatively, you can also request software updates through the Support app. To do this, open the Support app, go to the Service tab on the bottom bar, tap on the update, then select Check for updates and then download and install.
