Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro Bugs

Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro is a smartwatch with lots of specialties including beautiful aesthetics but recently a user reported bugs, that occurred after HarmonyOS 2.1.0.417.

According to the information, HarmonyOS 2.1.0.417 for Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro rolled out in Europe in October last year, and the company has not released a new software update since then for the global models.

The user reveals that the Watch GT 3 Pro Snowboarding training mode doesn’t always record race data, speed, and other important parameters of the training. It’s also reported that the watch needs to restart the smartwatch and re-enable the workout to record the data.

Coming to the next bug, appears when you try to check the records/training log on the smartwatch under the snowboarding mode including readings such as distance tab and within laps.

It’s also noted that the issue could be the lapse count. However, as you can see in the video linked below, the smartwatch keeps on ‘sort of’ restarting as it blocks the rotating crown actions.

This is quite frustrating as a user but similar issues have been noticed online on Huawei Community.

A user wrote “The ski and snowboard activities do not work on the GT3 watch. They seem to start and find the GPS signal, but the measurements stay at 0.”

On that, a Huawei official moderator replied that “if Skiing or Snowboarding is enabled on your watch, but you are not skiing nor snowboarding, your watch will not record the time as it does not detect the skiing and snowboarding state. You can check the timer after skiing or snowboarding for a while.”

However, that didn’t resolve these Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro bugs. All we can wait is for a new software update, which may come soon but there’s no confirmation whether it’s a hardware or a software issue.
