Huawei will give temporary cloud space to backup and restore data for factory phone reset
Huawei will launch an interesting feature for Huawei smartphones to enable free temporary cloud space in order to make backup data for factory settings reset. This is an amazing feature, which will resolve the issue of backing up data on a separate storage or buying more cloud storage.
What’s more interesting is that users can even back up the entire storage capacity on the cloud. It means, if the model supports 128GB and 256GB storage, it can backup data of similar storage on the cloud without paying anything.
Temporary:
Now it’s time to explain this term. With that many benefits, Huawei made it clear that this cloud space will be temporary and you must have to restore the data within three days of the timespan after factory reset.
Currently, the temporary cloud mobile data backup feature is only available for Huawei P40 and Mate 30 series in China from August 8 onwards.
To become eligible for this feature, the phone must run HarmonyOS 3 operating system. While the cloud app and My Huawei app must be on 12.0.1.301 and 13.1.7.300 respectively. Users can download the latest app versions from AppGallery.
The entire program is partitioned into four steps – Security Check, Cloud backup, restore factory settings, and restore factory data.
This new feature seems very innovative and helps users to store all of the current files for quick backup and also restore them without any worries.
