Huawei will release 5G phone in June, expected to deploy 5G in 20 countries in 2019

On January 22, at the Davos World Economic Forum group meeting, Huawei Vice Chairman Hu Houkun said that 5G has arrived, Huawei has deployed 5G networks in more than 10 countries, and it is expected to deploy 5G in 20 countries in 2019.

In addition, Hu has confirmed the release date of its first 5G phone. He said the 5G phone will be launched in June this year.

Hu Houkun added that this year is a very important year for technology. 5G will be the largest market in the technology sector this year, and this market is growing rapidly.

According to the GSMA (Global System for Mobile Communications), by 2025 we will see 5G deployed in 110 countries. Huawei has deployed 5G networks in more than 10 countries and looking to reach the other 20 countries in the next 12 months.

In December 2018, the company officially confirmed that Huawei will release 5G phones equipped with 5G chips in the first half of this year, and will achieve commercial scale in the second half of 2019.
