Huawei, Xiaomi and OPPO reportedly working on new UFCS-based chargers
Huawei, Xiaomi, and OPPO are reportedly making new chargers based on the UFCS fast charging protocols. Some of these adapters have been spotted on certification websites, while others are under development and will soon confirm their existence.
Weibo tipster @DigitalChatStation has shared insights on UFCS-based products, saying that Huawei and Xiaomi have brand-new superfast chargers in the pipeline.
To begin with, Huawei has recently listed a new charger with the model number HW-200700CP0 on a certification site and qualified for it on March 20. The respective adapter effectively supports UFCS-integrated fast charging up to 140W (20V 7A).
However, there are chances that the Chinese tech giant may not likely provide these adapters to its smartphones as a general medium of fast charging.
On the flip side, Xiaomi has joined this network with a charger model MDY-16-EV featuring 120W fast charging facility. Similar to Huawei, the company may not offer this beneficial charger to its smartphone and other devices.
OPPO falls next in the UFCS category and said to have two interesting chargers. These adapters support 11V 11A 121W power and high current solution. Eventually, the tipster says that these charging models are ready for the next coming device.
UFCS Standard:
Universal Fast Charging Specification (UFCS) is capable of meeting the long-term fast charging requirement. It aims to improve the fast charging integration between different smartphone vendors and make their charging facility universal.
Moreover, the UFCS charging technology can create a fast, safer, and adaptable charging scenario for consumers. Thus, you can power up any device using a single adapter, without stressing overheating and other relevant issues.
