Latest update of Huawei Nova 8 Pro installs April 2021 security patch
Huawei is very busy with the HarmonyOS 2.0 beta testing program on the mainland, but it knows the importance of security updates that’s why the simultaneous rollout of the new update is also undergoing without any interruption.
Over the past couple of weeks, Huawei has delivered the April 2021 security update to many of its eligible devices and still expanding for the rest models for improved system security.
Now, Huawei Nova 8 Pro smartphone is getting a new software update that installs a security patch released in April 2021 and protects the devices against threats as well optimizes overall device performance.
According to the information, this changelog doesn’t bring any other new changes for the system apart from the security patch. More information related latest EMUI version and detailed changelog mentioned below.

- Use a stable connection to download the update package.
- Do not forcefully turn off the phone, once the installation is started.

April 2021 security patch details: This security update fixes 17 high and 69 medium levels of CVEs for improved system security.
HOW TO INSTALL:
To download this update manually, go to Settings then System & updates, then open Software update, from here select Check for updates. If an update is available it’ll pop up on your phone and an option of Download and install will appear. Press the option and start to download.
Alternatively, you can also request software updates through the Support app. To do this, open the Support app, go to the Service tab on the bottom bar, tap on the update, then select Check for updates and then download and install.
