March 2022 EMUI security fixes a new Wi-Fi issue
Huawei has published March 2022 security bulletin that comes with various fixes for important issues that can compromise your EMUI powered smartphone or tablet. Adding to this, the March 2022 EMUI security patch also fixes an important Wi-Fi issue that has been found in the last software build.
According to the security patch, the March 2022 EMUI security update fixes CVE-2021-40059, which unknowingly extracts permission to control vulnerability in the Wi-Fi module inside the Huawei device.
This new Wi-Fi issue has been classified under medium severity and affected EMUI 12.0.0, EMUI 11.0.1, EMUI 11.0.0, EMUI 10.1.1, EMUI 10.1.0, Magic UI 4.0.0, Magic UI 3.1.1, Magic UI 3.1.0.
