New improvements for calling and display released for Huawei Mate 40 with new software
On October 30, Huawei has launched the Huawei Mate 40 series with pre-installed EMUI 11 in China and then started sending the new updates for further improvements.
Last week, Huawei Mate 40 Pro, Pro+, and RS Porsche Design received a new update that brought optimizations for system stability and fixes the display issues.
Now, Huawei has kicked off a new software update for the Huawei Mate 40 standard version, which optimizes the calling experience and fix the problem of screen brightness mode. According to the information, it’s the first software update for this device, since its sale started one month after the launch.
Version: Huawei Mate 40 user getting the first software update with EMUI 11 version 11.0.0.115 SP6 version upgraded from EMUI 11.0.0.112.
Changelog for Huawei Mate 40:
- Optimizes the call experience in some scenarios
- Fix the problem that the screen brightness cannot be adjusted automatically in some scenes.

- The update is rolling out in batches so it may take some time/days to reach your device.
- The update will not erase any data.
HOW TO UPDATE HUAWEI MATE 40:
To download this update manually, go to Settings then System & updates, then open Software update, from here select Check for updates. If an update is available it’ll pop-up on your phone and an option of Download and install will appear. Press the option and start to download.
Alternatively, you can also request software updates through the Support app. To do this, open the Support app, go to the Service tab on the bottom bar, tap on the update, then select Check for updates and then download and install.
