Official: Huawei Mate 70 series will debut in Q4 2024
After a lot of talks, Huawei has now officially confirmed the Mate 70 series launch for Q4 2024 with pre-installed stable HarmonyOS NEXT version. The next Mate lineup will probably release somewhere between October to December this year.
While talking about the HarmonyOS NEXT upgrade plan, the Chairman of Huawei Consumer Business Yu Chengdong said “the Mate 70 series phones will be released in the fourth quarter of this year (Q4 2024)”.
He further cites that the Huawei Mate 70 lineup will be the first to pre-install the stable HarmonyOS NEXT version. Thereafter, the Chinese tech maker will start distributing the official major software upgrade version to other devices in batches.
At the Analyst Summit 2024 in April, Huawei’s Rotating Chairman Xu Zhijun said that HarmonyOS NEXT version will likely roll out in the fourth quarter of this year. He also gave a slight hint for the Mate 70 series unveiling during the same time.
Now the company has officially confirmed the Mate 70 series existence and its launch time to some extent. This also shows that previous leaks have been on the right track for the next flagship lineup.
Huawei Mate 70 series continues to swirl in leaks and rumors. A recent one claims that the Pro model of this line will continue to adopt the tri-holes concept on the front side, just like its predecessors. It is unclear if all new models will have the same design.
The camera framework is the next significant part of the Mate 70 series. The details say that these handsets may use the upcoming Omnivision sensors for enhanced images and video recording aspects. And who knows, a retractable lens like the Pura 70 Ultra may also show up with the next flagship.
