WhatsApp is preparing a significant “Lists” feature for regular group chats. The new addition to the application will allow users to easily manage people or group conversations without getting confused between multiple contacts in the app.

WhatsApp Group acts as a digital room that connects a person with his/her friends or family members at the same time. One can share pictures, and initiate a voice/video call to have more fun.

However, several groups in the app often become confusing, especially when you have a large number of contacts. Hence, the company is making WhatsApp Group chats more convenient and efficient with an interesting “Lists” feature.

Spotted in the Android beta 2.24.16.14, WhatsApp is enabling some beta testers to manage their contacts and group chats more easily with the Lists capability.

Lists feature is mainly targeted to the status updates section. It will let users form different lists and organize contacts based on priority and level of interaction. Hereafter, they can share images, videos, and other content with specific users.

In simple words, customized lists will help you to share status with a particular audience at a time. This will not only enhance interactivity with contacts but also maintain the privacy of users, without going through several steps or processes.

The new WhatsApp Lists tool is rolling out via the Google Play Beta Program to limited beta testers. Although this feature will soon be available to more Android users through the stable release.
