WhatsApp working on a new option to set the disappearing messages to 24 hours

WhatsApp developers have been improving this popular free, simple, secure, and instant messaging application. As recently, WhatsApp beta has released a new version 2.21.9.6 beta over 2.21.9.5 beta for Android-based devices.

According to the latest information coming from WABetaInfo, the WhatsApp team is working on a lot of features that many users are waiting for and this time, the WhatsApp developers are paying attention to disappearing messages.

The previous report reveals that WhatsApp is testing the ability to set messages to disappear after 24 hours. As users soon are able to get this functionality for the disappearing messages via a new update.

In this line, a new option could be made available to everyone with a future application update. This upcoming feature permits the users to set the automatic deletion of messages sent after 24 hours, an option that will not replace the current 7-day one but will be added to it.

Following the screenshot, it seems that WhatsApp will soon add the third option to make sent messages disappear after 24 hours. This new disappearing message option will be available in both single and group chats.

At the moment, this 24-hour disappearing option is still under development, and in the future, it will be made available to all users on the various platforms where it is possible to use WhatsApp (i.e. Android, iOS, and Web or desktop).
